San Miguel sea lion virus
12 (SMSV-12) was isolated from California
sea lions (Zalophus
californianus), Northern elephant
seals (Mirounga
angustirostris) and Northern Fur
seals (Callorhinus
ursinus) on San Miguel Island,
California, in 1977 (Smith et al.,
1981).
