The canine calicivirus (CaCV)
isolate No. 48 was isolated in Aichi, Japan,
in 1990 from a 2-month-old Japanese domestic
'shiba' dog with a fatal case of
intermittent watery diarrhea (Mochizuki
et al., 1993).
